Yes, pregnancy is possible. If you are a week or more late for your period, take a pregnancy test. Repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result.

Yes. If you normally have 28-day menstrual cycles, then the sex occurred around the time of ovulation.

I missed my 2month injection on a thurs thinkng it was the following week wed. On sat the condom breaks. Today i realize i missed my date that was last week Thurs bt i still went for the injection then later i took the morning after pill. Can i still b preg?

Pregnancy is possible but unlikely.

The Depo Provera shot remains effective for up to 13 weeks. Practitioners generally schedule these shots 12 weeks apart. Therefore, you may have still been protected by Depo. If there were 13 weeks or less between your two shots, the Depo still would have been effective and the morning after pill would not have been necessary.

If more than 13 weeks passed between your last shot and the unprotected sex, then you were not protected by your shot and pregnancy is possible. In that case, the morning after pill would have helped to reduce your risk of pregnancy.  If this is the case, wait approximately five weeks and then take a pregnancy test.

It depends on the medical provider, the type of test, and whether or not you are bleeding. As long as you are not bleeding, you can receive any type of STD testing. If a vaginal smear needs to be taken, blood can obscure the results. To test for syphilis, HSV (herpes), Hepatitis, and HIV, simple blood tests may be used. Chlamydia and gonorrhea may be screened by urine test or vaginal smear. A vaginal smear is needed to test for trichomoniasis.

My girlfriend has been on the ring type of birth control for more than a year now. She just started taking antibiotics for bronchitis and we had unprotected sex. I know antibiotics cancel out the effectiveness of the pill but does it cancel it out totally? Should I just get the morning after pill just in case?

Use of antibiotics does not completely eliminate the contraceptive effects of hormonal methods, but effectiveness may be lower depending on the type of antibiotic and the dosage. Have your girlfriend contact the medical provider who prescribed the ring for her. Be sure to have the name and dosage of the antibiotic ready. Follow her doctor’s recommendations.

ive been on the pill for 2 months now currently on pack 2 day 7. took day 6 and day 7 later then when i usually take them.. but havent missed a pill… i had unprotected sex on the night of day 7.. he did finish but not so sure if it was fully inside me but im sure some went in… should i go get Plan B or should i be fine. ??? little scared i already have a 5 month old and i dont need another..

Plan B is not recommended. Continue to take your pills everyday around the same time everyday.

Yes, especially if you mean that you missed your next three pills after the unprotected sex. Whenever you miss two or more pills in a row, your hormone levels change and can allow you to ovulate. If it hasn’t been more than five days since the unprotected sex, take the morning after pill (Plan B) to reduce your risk of pregnancy. Also, be sure to make up your missed pills. Take two pills a day until you are caught up and then resume the one pill daily schedule. In the meantime, do not have any more unprotected sex. Use condoms for the next seven days after your missed pills.

If you only missed one pill three days after the unprotected sex, the risk of pregnancy is a lot lower. However, sperm can live in a woman’s body 3-5 days, and if you happened to ovulate (unlikely but possible with one missed pill) on or shortly after your missed pill day, pregnancy is possible. Some of these causes include stress, excessive exercise, medications (especially hormonal birth control methods) or perimenopause. Pre-ejaculatory fluid may have sperm in it. If your boyfriend urinated prior to both sex acts, then the fluid is less likely to have sperm in it. The urine washes out the fluid (that contains sperm from a prior ejaculation) that is in the urethra.

You may want to take Plan B to reduce your risk of pregnancy. Plan B can be purchased over the counter at most drug stores by individuals 17 and older.
