I just took a urine test to check for stis, but before I urinated in the cup, I dropped it into the toilet like an idiot. I rinsed it off and dried it out with the towel in there. Then I filled it. Will this affect the results of my test?

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy.

After taking Plan B, you should get a period within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Your next period may be a little earlier or later than usual. It may be lighter, heavier or spottier than usual. If your next period does not come within 3 weeks, do a pregnancy test.

Plan B is most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse. However, studies show that it can be effective even when taken as long as 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected intercourse.

After taking Plan B, your next menstrual period should begin within 2-3 weeks. It’s normal for your next period to be a few days late or early. It may be heavier, lighter, or spottier than usual. If your period has not started within 3 weeks, do a pregnancy test.

If you have been having unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy.

Keep in mind that things can alter your menstrual cycle. Stress, illness, medications, lack of sleep, change in diet, and fluctuations in hormones are several things that can affect your cycle. Your period may be earlier or later than usual. You may skip a period once in a while.

However, if you have not been using a reliable birth control method consistently, if your period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

I came inside my girlfriend after she had only been back on her pill the past two days are we safe?

You don’t mention if your partner is new to starting the pill or if she has been on the pill for several months.

If she is a new pill starter, it takes at least 7 days of continuous use before the birth control pills are effective. If you have unprotected sex prior to the pills being effective, there is the risk of pregnancy.

If she was on them in the past, and just restarted the pills, the same rule as above applies, 7 days before its effective.

If your partner has been taking her pills correctly & consistently for several months, then her protection is effective.

The other day, I started experiencing some pain in my genital area. The next day, I found that the pain didn’t seem to be my vagina, but more near my urethra. It hurts when I pee, at first leading me to believe its a UTI. I found though, that if I spread my labia when I go to the bathroom, it doesn’t hurt, making me wonder if I have a sore or something. I’ve tried looking with a mirror, but can’t really see anything. It’s not possible for me to have an STD, I’m POSITIVE. Is this still a UTI, or something else?

You may have an abrasion or small skin tear on your labia. Urine flowing over the open wound maybe causing some discomfort.  It may help to put some antibiotic ointment or Vaseline on it. These would provide a protective barrier.

If you have had unprotected sex or have had multiple partners in the past, there is the possibility of STD.  Genitial herpes may cause sores.

Ultimately, if the discomfort continues, you need to be seen by your doctor.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. It takes at least 7 days of continuous use before birth control pills are effective.

If you have not been on the pills for at least a week, then you were not protected by them. There is the possibilty of pregnancy.

My boyfriend cummed inside me but i’m on birth control, i dont always take it at the same time sometimes theres like an hour difference does taking it an hour or two later change the effect of the pill? and is there a chance i could be pregnant?

Taking your pill an hour or two later than the normal time you take it should not make a difference in the effectiveness of the pill. It is recommended that you take your pill everyday around the same time each day (within a three hour time period).  However, the pill is not 100% effective even when it is used perfectly. There is always a slight risk of pregnancy.

If you are having sex regularly and not using any method of birth control, you have an 85% risk of pregnancy . If you are on the pill but forget to take your pills occasionally, you have an 8% risk of pregnancy. If you are on the pill and are taking your pills perfectly, you have a 1% or less  risk of pregnancy.

Take it as soon as possible and then take your next pill at the regular time. To be on the safe side, you may want to use condoms in addition to the pill for the first seven days of your new pill pack since you missed your first hormone pill and extended the hormone free time period.
