Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is a risk of pregnancy. If you had unprotected sex a day or two before your period started, then that should be your least fertile time, and pregnancy risk would be lower.

Many factors can alter your cycles, making them irregular. Things like stress, illness, hormone fluctuations, and change in sleep can all affect your cycle. Your period may be earlier or later than usual. You may have some irregular bleeding or spotting throughout the month.

Sore throat is not a symptom of pregnancy. Breast tenderness can be a symptom of pregnancy, however, it can also be a side effect of hormone fluctuations. You may be coming down with a cold or virus.

Periods usually straighten themselves out within a month or two. In the meantime, if you are not planning a pregnancy, do not have unprotected intercourse. Use condoms or begin a long term method of birth control like the pills, patch, vaginal ring or DepoProvera injection.

A normally fertile woman has about a 20% chance of becoming pregnant during each menstrual cycle.

Several factors may play a part in fertility. Things like a woman’s age, weight, health, and regularity of periods can affect fertility. So can external factors like smoking and drug use.

Most couples are able to conceive within 1 year of trying. If you have been attempting pregnancy for more than 1 year without success, follow up with a gynecologist.

The DepoProvera injection is effective 24 hours after the first injection is given. As long as you continue to receive your injections on time, as scheduled, the effectiveness rate is 99.9%. If you had unprotected sex 5 days after your injection, it is highly unlikely that you would become pregnant, approximately .1% chance. The Depo injection does not provide protection against sexually transmitted infections.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. Even if your partner wipes his penis, more pre-ejaculatory fluid may leak out. Wiping off the penis is not a reliable form of birth control.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. The risk is higher when you’re ovulating. During arousal, the penis leaks pre-ejaculatory fluid, which can contain sperm. Even if your partner wipes his penis, more fluid may leak out.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. However, the level of risk can depend on where you’re at within your menstrual cycle.

If you have unprotected intercourse during your ovulatory time, which is when you’re most fertile, then the risk of pregnancy would be high. If you have unprotected sex during your least fertile time, which is usually the few days prior to and the days during your period, the risk would be lower. Bleeding after intercourse does not affect whether or not a pregnancy occurs.

Although he did not ejaculate inside you, there is still the risk of pregnancy. During sexual arousal, the penis leaks a small amount of pre-ejaculatory fluid (pre-cum), which can contain sperm.

If you are not planning a pregnancy, consider beginning a reliable, long term method of birth control. Condoms, birth control pills, patch, vaginal ring and the DepoProvera injection can all be very effective at preventing pregnancy when used correctly and consistently.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. The more frequently you have unprotected sex, the more likely it is that you will get pregnant. If you have sex during your fertile time, there is more risk of becoming pregnant. If you have unprotected sex during your least fertile time, then the risk is lower. The withdrawal method is approximately 75 to 80% effective at preventing pregnancy.

The penis will leak a small amount of fluid, call pre-ejaculatory fluid (pre cum). This fluid can contain sperm, which could result in pregnancy. Even if he wiped off, more fluid would leak out.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. If your pregnancy test were negative, then you were correct in starting the birth control pills. You must take the birth control pills for 7 days in a row before they are effective. You must take them each day, around the same time each day to continue its protection.

There is no evidence that birth control pills harm a pregnancy or fetus. If your next period is late or absent, contact your doctor.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. Your Depo injection had worn off and you only took 3 birth control pills.  The birth control pills take at least 7 days before they are effective.  There is the possibility that you could have become pregnant.

Nausea can be a common side effect of the pill, especially when switching from the Depo injection. We recommend taking your pill with a meal or snack. Sometimes, taking the pill an hour or two before bedtime helps. If none of these things help, your doctor could try switching you to a lower dose estrogen pill.

If you are not planning a pregnancy and decide not to use a hormonal birth control method, condoms are a good option. When used correctly & consistently, condoms can be effective at preventing pregnancy. Condoms must be used with each act of intercourse.
