Yes, you would still be pregnant. Most medications do not cause women to miscarry (mifepristone or RU-486 is one exception). However, some medications are not safe to use during pregnancy because they may cause birth defects or other problems with the pregnancy. If you are pregnant and are on medication, contact the medical provider who prescribed your medication. Ask him or her if the drugs you are taking are safe to use during pregnancy.

Comments Off on I have been on birthcontrol for about 8 months now, but about a month ago i used an antibiotic for 11 days and then had sex without a condom a few weeks after that and he went inside of me, im freaking out. Could I be pregnant?
Since the sexual intercourse occurred weeks after you finished your antibiotic treatment, pregnancy is highly unlikely (if you have been using your birth control correctly). However, even when using methods perfectly, pregnancy is possible since no method is 100% effective. If you miss a period, take a pregnancy test.

Comments Off on My period was a day late then my boyfriend cummed in me now I am three days late. Could I be pregnant now and that’s why?
Any time you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is possible. If you are pregnant, it is difficult to know when the pregnancy occurred without an ultrasound (particularly if you have been having unprotected sex often). Wait another week, and then take a pregnancy test. Repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive result.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, either abstain from sexual intercourse or use a method of birth control. If you live near one of our offices, please call us for an appointment. We can talk with you about your contraceptive options and help you choose a method that best fits your lifestyle. If you live further away, contract the nearest Family Planning or Planned Parenthood office.

Comments Off on I use Nuvaring and condoms with spermicide lubricant for my method of birth control. Yesterday is supposed to have been the last day that I had the nuvaring in before the off week. I had sex last night and the condom broke. Should I still go and take Plan B or is it ok just to continue with the nuvaring cycle alone. This week is supposed to be my period week anyways but I just wanted to be safe.
As long as you’ve been using your NuvaRing as directed – three weeks in and one week out, Plan B is not needed. Hormones build up in your system throughout the three weeks that you have the ring inside and will still provide protection during your week off.

Comments Off on i am on the pil.mist 1,two months ago.had sore nippels for 2 weeks last month, now tinkely.had 2 negative urin results.could these test be wrong and that i am pregnant?
As long as you follow the directions carefully and wait at least one week after you’ve missed a period, home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate. If you made your missed pill up correctly, pregnancy is unlikely. Keep taking your pills as directed. If you skip a second period, take another pregnancy test. Do not stop taking your pills unless you test positive for pregnancy.

Comments Off on I have been on the pill for over a year, this month i missed the first day of my pill, which was Sunday. I usually take them Sunday nights at around 11pm and i took it monday lunchtime. I then carried on as normal but had sex on Tuesday. My husband says he did not cum inside me at all, but im worried i might be pregnant because i have some discharge and cramping. Im due to start my period next week. What do you think?
Your pregnancy risk increased slightly since you missed the first hormone pill of your pack, however, your risk is still low, particularly since your husband used the withdrawal method as well. Keep taking your pill as directed. If you miss your period by one week or more, take a pregnancy test.

Comments Off on I had sex with my boyfriend a week ago, with a condom, but it broke. Now im having a lot of clear vaginal discharge? Does anyone know if i can be pregnant or what the discharge means?
Vaginal discharge is normal and healthy. Discharge helps maintain vaginal pH and helps sweep bacteria out of the vagina. The amount and consistency of discharge will depend on your hormones and your cycle.
Close to and during ovulation time, which is your most fertile time, vaginal discharge is usually thin, clear and increased in amount. A few days after ovulation has occurred and the unfertilized egg has died, vaginal discharge tends to be thicker, creamier and white colored. This usually signals the time period when you are least fertile. Normal vaginal discharge may appear yellow when dried on panties or pad. Younger women tend to have more vaginal discharge due to the increased amount of estrogen in their systems. Postmenopausal women tend to experience vaginal dryness due to the lack of estrogen.
Vaginal discharge should not be yellow, green or gray. It should not have a “fishy” or foul odor. If you would experience this, schedule an appointment for an infection check or STD screening.

Comments Off on I’ve been on implanon for 2 1/2 yrs and I’ve only gotten my period twice. I know that it’s normal for some people to not get their periods while on implanon, but 3 weeks ago the broke during sex but we didn’t realize. I didnt take plan B because I know the risk of pregnancy on implanon is .1%. Maybe it’s just stress or an active imagination but I feel like there’s a lot of pregnancy symptoms such as tender breasts, emotional, fatigue, slight nausea. Shoulda it even possible to get pregnant if your body doesn’t go through the ovulation process needed to had a period?
If you don’t ovulate, you can’t become pregnant. The main way that Implanon prevents pregnancy is by suppressing ovulation. Unfortunately, it is not 100% effective. While it is rare, some women have become pregnant while using Implanon. If you are concerned about pregnancy, take a pregnancy test. Again, pregnancy is highly unlikely in your case, but a negative result will provide you with some peace of mind.

Comments Off on My boyfriend performed oral sex on me and the next morning I woke up with a UTI. Should he seek treatment?
It is not necessary for your partner to seek treatment. Routine UTI’s are not sexually transmitted nor is it likely for them to cause mouth infections. However, being infected with an STD like chlamydia or gonorrhea can cause symptoms like burning and pain with urination, especially in men.
Urinary tract infections may be caused by oral sex. Friction can cause irritation of the urethra. Normal routine mouth flora can enter into the urethra and cause irritation.
Taking medications, if ordered, increasing your fluids and abstaining from sex for a few days are some ways to help treat a urinary tract infection. If you have concerns about STDs consider scheduling an STD screening for you and your partner.
