If you are taking your birth control pills correctly & consistently, then it is unlikely that you would become pregnant. It is common for women to have some irregular bleeding or spotting sometimes. It is also common for your cycle to be irregular once in a while. Things like stress, illness, change in diet, exercise or sleep, and hormone fluctuations can all affect your menstrual cycle. Continue taking your pills every day and your period should straighten out within a month or two.

Comments Off on My girlfriend got on a birth control patch on the 10th, put a new one on right away after her first one fell off on the 13th, and she continued with her schedule. She renewed it on the 17th, and onthe 21st we had unprotected sex, and i ejaculated in her. Should i be worried about her getting pregnant?
If your girlfriend is using the patch correctly, you should be fine. She needs to wear the patch for three weeks straight (a new patch each week) and then leave the patch off for a week. If she put on a new patch on the 17th and the sex occurred on the 21st, you needn’t worry too much about pregnancy. She just needs to remember her next patch on the 24th. Of course, no birth control method is 100% effective, but the patch is 99% effective when used correctly.

Comments Off on me and my guy had sex on the 14th. we used condoms the entire time. we used the trojan fire and ice, which we hadnt used before. when he pulled out one time it felt warm, could it have been the condoms lube reacting with my skin? he gets turned off by condom and never cums when he wears one and there was no cum on the condom or on my vagina. the warmth only lasted while he pulled out. if it was cum, wouldnt it have felt warm when he was inside of me, instead of when he pulled out? I was really nervous so I took plan b on the 16th, about 43 hours later. this is suppose to be my fertile week, but my ovulation discharge is not stretchy and clear like usual, it is more watery and milky color. does plan b change ovulation discharge? could I be pregnant?
First of all, the warmth you felt when he withdrew was most likely due to the condom you were using at the time. However, just in case it wasn’t, it’s good that you used Plan B.
The reason that your discharge has changed in consistency is because of your Plan B use. Plan B temporarily prevents or delays ovulation. Your discharge is not stretchy and clear like it normally would be during your ovulation time because you haven’t yet ovulated.

Comments Off on can you keep your name annonumous if you have a sti when getting a check up?
I’m not sure I understand your question.
If you are getting a general check up or a physical exam, the medical provider would already know your name if you were diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection.
If you are asking about anonymous testing: We do not provide anonymous testing at any of our clinics. However, we do offer confidential testing. There are a limited number of anonymous testing sites in Pennsylvania. If you are interested in anonymous testing, contact the PA Department of Health. If you live outside of PA, contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for a list of sites.
If you are asking about mandated STD reporting: PA medical providers are required to report any positive test results by name to the PA Department of Health. However, the PA Department of Health will not contact or release your test results to any of your family (even if you are under age 18), your sexual or needle sharing partners, or any other private or governmental agency (like the INS, the police, the Department of Public Welfare, your place of employment, or…

Comments Off on i finished my period 4 days ago and had unprotected sex with my husband sunday (4 days after period) he ejaculated in me. today is thursday 4 days after sex and i have a slimmy discharge and keep getting crampings! am i pregnant? we took a test tonight which was negative but i saw that a persont must wait a week before you can take a test and it is best to do it in the morning! i cant wait so long!!! am i pregnant???
The fact that you had some discharge and cramping does not necessarily mean you are pregnant. Taking a home pregnancy test this soon after the unprotected sex will not provide an accurate result. Unfortunately, you will have to wait until your next period is due. If you are one week or more late for your next period, then you should take a pregnancy test. There is no way to know if you are pregnant this soon after sex.

Comments Off on what are the chances of getting pregnant while on birth control.. but he came inside my vagina?
It depends on the type of birth control you are using and how well you are using your method. With perfect use, hormonal methods (the pill, the shot, the vaginal ring, the patch, the implant, and the Mirena IUD) boast a 99% or greater effectiveness rate. That means that only one woman (or less) out of 100 will become pregnant while using this method over the course of a year (regardless of whether the partner ejaculates inside the vagina or not). However, if you don’t always use your method correctly (for example, you forget to take pills), then the risk of pregnancy increases.

Comments Off on I take my birth control in the morning every day, but I want to take it in the night now. Can I gradually take it later and later (by like an hour) every day until I get it to the time I want? I usually take it at 12 noon, and want to change to about after dinner time.
Yes, that is the ideal way to change the time that you are taking the pill. Good thinking!

Comments Off on me and my boyfriend lost our virginity to eachother two days ago. we didnt use a condom and my cherry didnt pop but i was fertile. he didnt cum in me but he mightve precummed. what are my chances of getting pregnant?
Whenever you have unprotected sexual intercourse, pregnancy is possible. Without knowing more about the timing of the intercourse in relation to your menstrual cycle, it is difficult to say how likely pregnancy might be. Generally, your risk of pregnancy from one act of sexual intercourse is probably less than 10%. However, each time you repeat unprotected sex, your risk increases. If you continue to have unprotected sex for one year, you have an 85% risk that you will be pregnant by the end of that year.
Plan B (the morning after pill) can be used to reduce your risk of pregnancy, but it must be used within five days of the unprotected sex. The sooner you use it, the more effective it is. Plan B is a hormone pill that works just like regular birth control pills by preventing ovulation (the monthly release of an egg), interfering with fertilization, and possibly preventing implantation. The hormones in Plan B and regular birth control pills are similar to hormones that are produced during pregnancy. The brain sees these hormone shifts and recognizes it as a…

Comments Off on I’m seven days late on my period but I found out I got chlamydia could I be pregnant?
If you have been having sex without using any type of birth control, pregnancy is definitely possible. Since you’re already a week late, take a pregnancy test. Follow the instructions on the package precisely. For best results, use first morning urine and do not drink anything prior to the test. Repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result. If you do test positive for pregnancy, notify the doctor who diagnosed your chlamydia and let him/her know that you are pregnant.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, either abstain from sexual intercourse or use a method of birth control. If you live near one of our offices, please call us for an appointment. We can talk with you about your contraceptive options and help you choose a method that best fits your lifestyle. If you live further away, contract the nearest Family Planning or Planned Parenthood office.

Comments Off on Three nights ago me and my fiancé had sex and the condom broke. This morning, I started my period. He says there could still be a chance that I’m pregnant..And tomorrow I’m goin to the doctor to start birth control. I know how birth control is bad if you’re pregnant..So should I wait to start birth control, or is there absolutely no chance that I can be pregnant?
When sexual intercourse occurs just before, during, or just after the menstrual period, pregnancy is unlikely (provided you are having regular periods). However, since you already have an appointment with a doctor to start birth control, check with your physician and follow his or her recommendations.

Comments Off on If I had unprotected sex two days before i started my regular cycle and I take birth control every night, does this mean I am not pregnant because i started my cycle?
