i am on tricyclen but had been a few hours off when i usually take my pill and then my boyfriend and i had sex and he ejaculated inside me this was around 4 on saturday then monday morning around 11 we went to get plan b but now it is wednesday and i still have not gotten my period when its suppoised to start on sunday sometimes i dont get it untill monday or tuesday morning and i am wondering if i am late because of the plan b or something else.. help!

Plan B use was not necessary if you were less than 24 hours late in taking your pill.  Your late period is most likely due to taking Plan B. You may miss your period entirely because of the amount of hormones that are now in your system. Don’t be surprised if you have some irregular bleeding or spotting during your next pack of pills.

I just started taking The pill 2 weeks ago. 3 days after taking the pill I had unprotected sex but we used the pullout method. Nausea is very common during the first few months of pill use. This is because your body is not yet used to the new hormone levels. Be sure not to take your pill on an empty stomach. Eating something before you take your pill should decrease this side effect. Another common side effect of the pill during the first few months of use is a missed period or other menstrual irregularities.

It is best to either abstain from sex or use condoms during the first week of pill use. Though you used withdrawal, pre-ejaculatory fluid can leak out of the penis prior to ejaculation. This fluid can contain sperm, and thus, cause a pregnancy.

Continue to take your pills as directed (around the same time every day). If you miss two periods in a row, take a pregnancy test. Do not stop taking your pills unless you test positive for pregnancy.
