Me and my boyfriend had sex today 3.19.12 and I’m 100% sure he pulled out before he finished but I’m still worried. Could I be pregnant?

Withdrawal or the pull out method is not considered a very reliable method of birth control.  However, it is more effective when it is done correctly. Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, four will become pregnant each year if the method is done perfectly.  Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 27 will become pregnant if withdrawal is not always performed correctly.

Couples who have great self-control, experience, and trust tend to use the pull out method more effectively. The male partner must be able to know exactly when ejaculation is coming and must be able to pull out before any semen is deposited in the vagina.  Generally, younger or less experienced men have a more difficult time predicting the time of ejaculation and have more difficulty pulling out in time.

However, even if a man pulls out in time, pregnancy is still possible because of pre-seminal fluid (also called pre-ejaculate).  Pre-seminal fluid leaks out of the penis prior to ejaculation.  Sometimes this fluid contains sperm that is left in the urethra from a previous ejaculation.  If a man urinates between ejaculations…

I just found out I have Chlamydia today… I know I have had it for less than a month because I only slept with two guys. The first guy I am positive didn’t have it, but the second guy had the symptoms of it. I just didn’t know it at the time. Anyways, I know I have had it for less than a month but I was wondering if it could make me unable to reproduce in the future. Could that take affect this early? I dearly hope not I do want kids of my own… I get the medicine tomorrow morning…

If you’ve only had chlamydia for a month and you are being treated tomorrow, your fertility should not be affected by this infection. It is recommended that you abstain from sexual intercourse during your treatment and for one week after so you don’t become reinfected. Repeated infections increase the likelihood of fertility problems in the future. Therefore, it is extremely important to protect yourself from future exposure. Limiting your sexual partners and using condoms from start to finish will reduce your risk of reinfection.

ok is there a chance of being pregnant if haven’t had sex but had cum over the virgina and 3 days before my period is meant to come, could i be pregnant or is it unlikely?

Yes, pregnancy is possible but unlikely since the intercourse occurred so close to the beginning of your period. If you are worried and it has been less than five days since the incident, you can reduce your risk of pregnancy by taking Plan B.

Plan B One-step is a pill you can take after unprotected sex to reduce the risk of pregnancy. It works best if it is used within the first 24 hours after sex but can be used up to 120 hours (or five days) after  unprotected sex with decreased effects after the first three days.  The sooner you use Plan B, the more effective it is.

Plan B works by delaying ovulation (the monthly release of an egg), and possibly by interfering with fertilization (the union of sperm and egg) and implantation (when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine lining. If you are already pregnant, it will not terminate the pregnancy. According to the manufacturer, the treatment prevents seven of eight pregnancies that otherwise would have occurred.

If you are 17 or older, you can purchase Plan B at most drug stores without a…

Pregnancy is unlikely when you miss a pill by less than 24 hours. Your period may simply be late because you are stressing out about missing your pill by a few hours. However, if you don’t have any bleeding at all during your sugar pills, take a pregnancy test. If it is negative, repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result. Do not stop taking your pills unless you test positive for pregnancy.

If you had a normal period since you completed your antibiotic treatment, you would not have become pregnant from the incident you described.

If the condom was intact when he withdrew and as long as no semen or pre-ejaculatory fluid entered the vagina, Plan B use is not necessary.

However, if you are worried and it has been less than five days since the intercourse, it wouldn’t hurt to use Plan B.

Condoms work best when they are used correctly and consistently. Here are some tips for correct condom use.

Always check the expiration date to be sure it is not expired prior to use.
Condoms should be stored at room temperature in a sharps free environment.
Never use an oil-based lubricant with a latex condom. If you need additional lubricant, use a water-based type like KY Jelly or Astroglide.
Pinch the tip of the condom between the thumb and forefinger while rolling it onto the erect penis to ensure that there is no air pocket in the tip of the condom.
Smooth out the sides of the condom once it has been rolled on to ensure there are no air pockets in the sides of the condom.
Hold onto the rim or base of the condom while removing the penis from the vagina…

My boyfriend and I had un protected sex he pulled out but thinks he might have got a bit on the out side. I just got off my period 2 days before it happened could i get pregnet

Pregnancy is possible but the risk is not high since it occurred just after your period. However, without charting your periods, your basal body temperature, and the characteristics of your cervical mucus, it is impossible to know exactly when you ovulate. You may regularly ovulate just after your period even though most women do not.

Although your partner withdrew prior to ejaculation, pre-ejaculatory fluid can leak out of the penis anytime during sexual intercourse. This fluid may contain sperm and could cause a pregnancy. Also if semen spilled near the vaginal opening, pregnancy is possible.

If it has been less than five days since the unprotected sex, we would recommend Plan B.

I’m not sure I follow you. You only took birth control pills for one day? I think it would be best to contact the provider who prescribed your birth control pills for you. They will be able to ask you appropriate questions to better understand your situation.
