Some women may have a burning sensation when their vagina has become irritated. Friction from thrusting and dryness during sexual activity can cause this irritation. Using an over the counter vaginal lubricant can help decrease dryness and irritation.
If the burning sensation persistsfor longer than 3-4 days, it could be a symptom of a vaginal infection. Consider making an appointment with your doctor for an infection check.

Comments Off on I have been on loestrin 24fe for a month and 16 days now. I have taken it perfectly at the same time every night and I haven’t missed any. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex today and he pulled out before he ejaculated. Is there a chance of pregnancy? The pamphlet that came with my pills said unprotected sex was safe after 7 days if you started taking it on a Sunday which I did. Am I safe?
There is always a risk of pregnancy even when using your birth control method perfectly. However, your risk is less than 1% since your boyfriend also withdrew before ejaculation. As long as you are taking a pill around the same time every day, you have continual protection against pregnancy even during your placebo or inactive pills (the last four pills in your pack). You only need to use a back-up method (like condoms) for the first seven days of your very first pack, not subsequent packs.

If your period was normal, pregnancy is highly unlikely. Just remember to use condoms in addition to your regular birth control method for the first seven days.

Comments Off on I am on birth control pills and take them every morning between nine and ten. My boyfriend and I had protected sex five days ago but the condom broke and e ejaculated in me. I went ahead and took plan be thirteen hours later. I was supposed to get my period yesterday but I have not. Is this normal? What are the chances of being pregnant?
If you are taking your birth control pills correctly & consistently, then you are protected from pregnancy. The chance of pregnancy would be low. While taking Plan B was not harmful to you, unless you had recently missed pills, Plan B was not necessary.
After taking Plan B, some women may experience irregular spotting or bleeding. Your period may be a little later than usual. It may be lighter, heavier or spottier than usual. Continue to take your regular birth control pills every day. Your period should return to normal within a month or two.
You may also continue to use condoms as your back up method for added protection.

Unfortunately, if you are not sure about your last menstrual period, it is difficult to judge when conception may have occurred. If you are unsure of who the father is, consider having a paternity test done in the future.

Comments Off on if me and my sex partner were both treated four tablets of azithromycin 500mg that we was prescribed to take in one day but had unprotected sex on the fifth day after taking the medication will the medicine still work or will we get reinfected?
As long as you both were treated, and neither of you are having sex with other people, the medication will be effective. You do not need to worry about re-infection.

Comments Off on Ok me and a guy were going to have sex. Thankfully we kept getting interrupted. The head of his penis touched my vaginal opening but it didn’t go in. A few hours later I started my period and had it last week. I’ve just noticed I’m having to go pee more than usual. Could I be pregant?
It is very unlikely that pregnancy occurred in this situation.

Comments Off on My boyfriend and I had sex with a condom an he pulled out. Is pregnancy possible.? Also about a week after, there was a red and brown blood discharge on my panty
Pregnancy is highly unlikely as long as there was no penis-vagina contact without a condom and as long as the condom was intact when he withdrew. However, condoms are not 100% effective even when used perfectly. If you are a week or more late for your period, take a pregnancy test, just in case the red/brown discharge you experienced was implantation bleeding. If it is negative, repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result.
However, spotting can be caused by a number of different things. It may have been ovulation spotting. About 10% of menstruating women regularly spot at the time of ovulation due to a temporary drop in estrogen at the time the ovary releases an egg. Certain vaginal infections can also cause some spotting (especially if the spotting is accompanied by a foul odor. The spotting may also mean that you may be getting your period. If the bleeding intensifies and your period is not due or if you notice other symptoms, contact your regular medical care provider for an appointment….
