It is not possible for a doctor to detect sexual activity from a gynecological exam.
However, if there has been a traumatic event, such as a sexual assault, there may be some visible evidence of forced intercourse, such as bruising, swelling, etc.

Comments Off on im delayed period 2 weeks, but i take shot of depotrust after of my delayed of 2 weeks, what will happen to me. please advised me
If you are using the DepoTrust for birth control, and you are two weeks late for your injection, call your doctor or clinic for instructions. The clinic may perform a pregnancy test before giving you another injection. In the meantime, do not have unprotected intercourse. Either abstain or use condoms until you are able to receive your next injection.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. However, during your period is usually your least fertile time.
Wait until your next period is due. If your period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

Comments Off on im 19 going on 20 and i want to start using the injection birth control method but im not sure if doctors recommend this method to teens as young as me.
It really depends on the physician and their individual preferences. However, many teens even younger than you are using the Depo-Provera shot, and it is considered a very safe and effective method.
Due to the possibility of bone density loss, we do encourage all of our Depo-users to use a daily calcium and vitamin D supplement. This supplement should contain 1000 mg of calcium and 800 mg of Vitamin D. This is particularly important for teens.
Before starting the method, be sure to ask your medical provider about potential side effects.

Comments Off on I have been on birth control for 2 months, I only had my period for 3 days. I started back on birth control the same day I had unprotected sex. Am I at risk for pregnancy?
It really depends on the type of birth control method you are using and if you are using it correctly. I will assume that you are using the birth control pill.
If you have been taking a pill every day and have not missed any pills, then pregnancy is highly unlikely. As long as there was no gap of time between pill packs, the pill protects you from pregnancy even when the intercourse occurs on the first day of a new pill pack. However, if you did not open a new pill pack the day after you finished your last placebo or sugar pill (the last pill in your last pack) and there was a gap in time between your last pill pack and your new pill pack, then your risk of pregnancy is higher.
Women using the pill can expect their periods to be lighter and of shorter duration. A three day period is quite normal for pill users. Also, during the first few months of pill use, irregular menstrual bleeding (missed periods, bleeding in between periods, and spotting) is…

Comments Off on i have irregular periods, so on april 16th i started bleeding light pink, only saw it when i wiped, then a few days later it was heavier w a small amount of clotts, then for the rest of the time it was light pink , this lasted 7 days, It is now May 8th and yesterday, may 7th i started bleeding again, this time is was very light but more of a bright red and today it is heavier, i am using a tampon, i have no pms, which i usialy do have them….idk what is going on, can you please help….oh i should mention me and my husband have had sex every other day since the first bleeding stopped, we are trying for a baby.
The length of a woman’s menstrual cycle varies from month to month. Several things, like stress, illness, changes in exercise or sleep patterns, can alter cycles, making periods come earlier or later than usual.
There were 23 days between the start of April’s bleeding and the start of May’s bleeding. Normal menstrual cycles can range from having a bleed every 21 days to every 32 days (or anything in between). Keep in mind, that the menstrual cycle begins on the first day of bleeding and is counted until the first day of the next bleed. Having bleeding at a 23 day interval would not be considered abnormal.
Keeping a log of your periods can also assist you in determining your most fertile times. There are many sites online that discuss the use of the “calendar method” to become pregnant. You may also want to discuss this with your ob/gyn doctor.
If you feel that you are having abnormal bleeding, contact your doctor to schedule an appointment for a gynecological exam.

Comments Off on if my boyfriend ejaulates in me on the day that iam ovulating but i take the plan b pill what are my chances of getting pregnant
The main way that Plan B works is by delaying ovulation (the monthly release of an egg). Therefore, if the intercourse occurred shortly after you ovulated, Plan B may not work as well for you. However, Plan B may also interfere with fertilization (the union of sperm and egg) and implantation (when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine lining). According to the manufacturer, the treatment prevents seven of eight pregnancies that otherwise would have occurred, making it about 87% effective.
One of the most common side effects of Plan B use is menstrual irregularity. Therefore, your next period could be earlier than usual, later than usual, or spotty (meaning you may bleed for a few days, stop, and then bleed some more). However, if you are a week or more late for your period, take a pregnancy test. If it is negative, repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result.
Plan B should not be used as a regular method of birth control as it is less effective than other methods. If…

Comments Off on Iam not on birth control and my boyfriend ejaculated in me today is may 8 2012 and my last period was April 23 2012 what’s the chances of me getting pregnant
If you have regular 28-day cycles (from the first day of your period to the first day of your next period, the unprotected sex occurred around the time of ovulation. If you do not wish to be pregnant, we would recommend using Plan B.
Plan B One-step is a pill you can take after unprotected sex to reduce the risk of pregnancy. It works best if it is used within the first 24 hours after sex but can be used up to 120 hours (or five days) after unprotected sex with decreased effects after the first three days. The sooner you use Plan B, the more effective it is.
Plan B works by delaying ovulation (the monthly release of an egg), and possibly by interfering with fertilization (the union of sperm and egg) and implantation (when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine lining). If you are already pregnant, it will not terminate the pregnancy. According to the manufacturer, the treatment prevents seven of eight pregnancies that otherwise would have occurred.
If you are 17 or older, you can purchase Plan B at most drug stores without a prescription….

Comments Off on I’m sixteen. I had my first time last Wednesday. So tomorrow will be a week. It was also his first time. We tried the pull out method. We had sex again Friday night, then again Sunday. All unprotected. I’m kinda nervous I might be pregnant. It doesn’t help that I’m paranoid about it. I think every little thing is a symptom. I am completely alone. My parents would be so upset if I told them. The only people that know is my guy friend that had sex with me and my best friend. Any advice on how to just keep a look out for signs? It was about 2 weeks after my period that we had sex. So I should start in a week or so. When should I take a test? I need answers!!! Thank you!
Unfortunately, withdrawal or the pull out method is not considered a reliable method of birth control. However, it is more effective when it is done correctly. Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, four will become pregnant each year if the method is done perfectly. Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 27 will become pregnant if withdrawal is not always performed correctly.
Couples who have great self-control, experience, and trust tend to use the pull out method more effectively. The male partner must be able to know exactly when ejaculation is coming and must be able to pull out before any semen is deposited in the vagina. Generally, younger or less experienced men have a more difficult time predicting the time of ejaculation and have more difficulty pulling out in time.
However, even if a man pulls out in time, pregnancy is still possible because of pre-seminal fluid (also called pre-ejaculate). Pre-seminal fluid leaks out of the penis prior to ejaculation. Sometimes this fluid contains sperm that is left in the urethra from a previous ejaculation. If a man urinates between ejaculations…

Comments Off on 6 days ago had protected sex but Condom Wasn’t taken off after ejaculation And kept going at it then we stopped checked the condom sperm was spread all over but claims nothing got out to be safe I took next choice two hours later because it was around my ovulating days now I’m a week away before I’m suppose to get my period and Im scared Ii could get pregnant I jus gave birth 7 months ago :(
It was wise to use the morning after pill just in case sperm may have leaked out of the condom after ejaculation. In the future, he should hold on to the base or rim of the condom while withdrawing the penis from the vagina immediately after ejaculation. He should then use a new condom before resuming intercourse.
Since you used both a condom and the morning after pill, pregnancy is highly unlikely. However, if you are a week or more late for your period, take a pregnancy test. If it is negative, repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result.
The morning after pill should not be used as a regular method of birth control as it is less effective than other methods. You may want to try a hormonal method of birth control as they are more effective. If you live near one of our offices, please call us for an appointment to discuss your contraceptive options. If you live further away, contact the Family Planning or Planned Parenthood office closest to you.
