i just had a baby april 1st 2012 my baby is now 1month. i pump about 3onces of breast milk a day from both breast me and my husband had sex and notice the condom has broken . how can i know if im pregnet? or not because i dont want another baby not now.

At this point, you will need to wait at least 2 weeks to do a pregnancy test. In the meantime, if you are not planning another pregnancy at this time, use condoms, abstain from sex or call your ob/gyn to discuss your options for bith control.

i am trying to get prego my cycle came back on and my breast are sore and i pee more often my doc didnt tell me if i was prego he just tested me to see if the bleeding is because somthing is growing in my fallopon tube does this mean im prego and having a miscarriage???

You doctor may be checking your hormone levels to make sure everything is within normal range. If he/she has not discussed these results with you, call his/her office to schedule a time when you can do this.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. However, during the first few days of your period, you are usually less fertile. This would make the risk of pregnancy less.

I am on Aviane, I just started two days ago. I had protected sex (condom) however, some of my partners ejaculate squirted out a bit onto the bed. I do not think that any spilled into me however I am not sure. Should I purchase the Plan B pill or will that interfere with my current birth control?

If the condom was intact and held closed when removed from the vagina, then you probably don’t need to worry. At this point, it is too late to take Plan B, so continue to take your Aviane correctly & consistently. Continue using condoms as your back up method, as it takes at least 7 days of consecutive use before the birth control pills become effective. 

If your next period is more than 1 week late, consider doing a pregnancy test.

I take tri-sprintect birth control and i miss 1 pill the first week and missed another on the 3rd week. I had unprotected sex on the first day of the fourth week. My boyfriend didnt cum, only leaked a little inside me. Could i be pregnant?

If you missed pills during your recent pill pack, then your protection may have been compromised. Continue taking your pills correctly & consistently, and being a new pack on time. If your period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

The length of your period should not have anything to do with the timing. Timing is figured by counitng the number of days from the first day of one period to the first day of the next period. For most women, periods usually occur about every 21 to 28 days. If your period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

If this would happen in the future, you could take the emergency contraceptive pill (ECPs). ECPs are available over the counter for purchase by women ages 17 and older at most pharmacies. Women under age 17 are required to have a prescription. ECPs (Plan B, Plan B OneStep, etc) ,when taken within 24 to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, are about 75 to 80% effective at preventing pregnancy. The pills help prevent pregnancy by delaying ovulation. (ECPs are not a long term method of birth control and are not effective for repeated acts of intercourse.)

Consider abstaining from intercourse or suggest that he use condoms.
