If your partner had a normal period, it is unlikely that she is pregnant.

Brown discharge is usually old blood. It is most likely left over blood from after your termination.

As long as you are not having any symptoms of vaginal infection, it can be normal. Keep in mind that your fertility has returned and are at risk of pregnancy.

Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. The more frequently you have unprotected sex, the more likely it is that you will become pregnant. If your next period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

i had unprotected sex during my fertile days i took the first next choice pills rite about five to ten mins after and the second pills after 20 hours after a week later i got my period but it was more like a brownish discharge for about three days a month later which is now am three days late could it be am pregnant never been late an my periods always been regular

When taking emergency contraception, the instructions vary depending on the brand. It is important to take ECPs correctly to achieve good effectiveness.  They are most effective when take within 24 to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. ECPs are about 75% to 80% effective at preventing pregnancy.

Possible ways to take ECPs:  a) One pill as soon as possible after unprotected sex, then the second pill 12 hours after the first, b) Take both pills as the same time, as one dose, c) If using a “one step” pack, such as PlanB OneStep, one pill as one time dose.   The one dose way is easiest and reduces the risk of forgetting the second pill 12 hours later.

The brown discharge you had was probably a period caused by the emergency contraception. Additionally, Plan B may cause you to have an irregular cycle for a month or so, causing your next period to come earlier or later than usual.  However, if you have had other episodes of unprotected intercourse, you are still at risk for pregnancy. If your period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

According to the Implanon manufacturer’s instructions, “Implanon can be inserted at any time, but health care providers recommend having it inserted between the first and fifth day of menses or, if a woman is on the pill, the day after she takes the last pill for the month. If Implanon is inserted at any other time, it’s recommended that a woman use other contraception for the next seven days.”  However, Implanon’s effectiveness most likely begins sooner that 7 days. 

At this point, its too late to take emergency contraception. If you feel you are experiencing symptoms of pregnancy, do a pregnancy test.

I had unportected sex with my boyfriend about 5 days ago. I have taken the contraceptive pill – Yasmin for about 2 years now. I must say that it is not always at the same time every day. During that time, i am ware that i took the pill 3 hrs after unprotected sex. My boyfriend ejaculated inside me. It is important to take your birth control pills correctly & consistently in order for them to be most effective. This means taking a pill every day, within a few hours of the same time everyday. Since you did not skip any pills, you are less likely to experience a drastic decrease in effectiveness.

Continue to take your pills every day. All pills are effective, no matter what dose they are. Low dose contraceptives work just as well as “higher” dose contraceptives….as long as you use then correctly and consistently.

If your next period does not come, or is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

i had my period on april 14 had sex on april 24 the 27 and on the 30 coul i gotten pregnant i was to ovulate on the 28
