Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the risk of pregnancy. If you have frequent unprotected sex, it is more likely
that you will become pregnant.
Are you trying to get pregnant? If so, you may need to keep a chart of your menstrual cycles. There are several websites about charting cycles in order to
determine when your fertile time is. Most clinicians have young women attempt pregnancy for 1 year. If no pregnancy occurs after
1 year, then a gynecological evaluation would be good to schedule.
If you are not trying to get pregnant, you have been lucky so far. Having unprotected sex is like playing “Russian roulette”….
unless there is an underlying problem (hormonal imbalance, etc.), you will eventually become pregnant.
If you feel that you are having problems with your periods, you may want to consider scheduling an appointment with your
ob/gyn doctor or clinic. A basic gyn exam (pap and pelvic) is recommended on a yearly basis for women starting at age 21.

Comments Off on i got my period the day after i had sex but i had missed a week of birth control just before that?
It is important to take your pills correctly and consistently. Missing birth control pills, especially if its more than 1 pill, greatly decreases their effectiveness.
Additionally, missing pills may cause you to have irregular spotting and bleeding. If you started a normal period the day after intercourse,
you most likely did not become pregnant.
Start a new pack of pills as scheduled, taking one every day, around the same time every day. It takes at least 7 days before the birth control pills are effective, so
either abstain from sex or use condoms until you have completed the first week.

Comments Off on how do i know for sure if he cummed in me
If you partner isn’t sure if he ejaculated inside of you, you may not know either. You may have
increased secretions after intercourse, and you may notice an odor that is different than your usual.
Anytime you have unprotected sex, there is the risk of pregnancy. If you are not planning pregnancy,
consider abstaining from sex or ask your partner to use a condom. You may want to consider starting a long term method of
birth control.

We did it for like 20 min and when he was about to cum he pulled out and the condom broke i dont know if any cum got inside of me but just to be safe i took the first next choice pill 2 hours after it happened and 12 hours later i took the second pill …… What is the possibilty im pregnant?
Anytime you have unprotected sex/ method failure, there is the risk of pregnancy. However, that
risk can be higher or lower depending on where you’re at within your menstrual cycle.
Emergency contraception, when taken with 24 to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse is about 75 to 80%
effective a preventing pregnancy. You should have a period within 2-3 weeks after taking the ECP. If you do not, and
your next period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.
As of several years ago, companies stopped making condoms with spermicide. Studies involving sex industry workers revealed that
condoms with spermicide increased the risk of acquiring HIV through sexual intercourse. Vaginal spermicide creams, gels, and film are still available and are
very safe to use.

Comments Off on I just got on the depo shot last week & me and my boyfriend had sex . I woke up the next morning with a yeast infection . Why is that ? & will it effect my partner ?
Yeast is a common vaginal infection. It is caused by an alteration in the pH level in the vagina. Yeast infections may be caused by illness, medications, changes in body wash, toilet paper, etc. , but many times the cause is unknown.
Yeast infections are commonly characterized by a thick, white, cottage cheese like discharge with no odor. Vaginal and/or genital itching may be present and is usually intense. The infection is treated with an anti-fungal medication, which is available in pill form (Diflucan) or vaginal cream (Monistat, Clotrimazole). Vaginal yeast medications are available for purchase over the counter without a prescription.

Comments Off on Me and my husband have been TTC. We haven’t been actively trying for very long, only three months, and I know that it’s too early for a couple both in their mid 20s to worry about infertility, but he does have a child from a previous relationship, so we know that he is fertile. But in the five years we’ve been together, I had been on the pill for three years, but had never been very good at remembering to take the pill every single day. Mostly since I stopped taking it, we’ve just been using the “pull out” method. In all that time, there’s been only a few times that there’s even been a scare, but still my period has never been more than a week or two late. All pregnancy tests ever taken have been negative. I can’t help but wonder if I’m not fertile. Would you think I should go ahead and get myself checked out?
If you are under age 30, most doctors recommend attempting conception for 1 year before having any evaluation. Of course, if you have a history of any medical problems, you may want to check with your ob/gyn doctor to see if he/she would recommend earlier follow-up.

Comments Off on 3day pills for what std?
Here at Family Planning Plus clinics, we do not generally use a 3 day treatment. For chlamydia, we recommend either a one time dose of Azithromycin 1 gm (or two 500 mg tablets) or Doxycycline 100mg twice a day for 7 days.
Other doctors/clinics may use other medications. Our treatments are based on the most recent guidelines from the Center for Disease Control.
