Yes, pregnancy is possible but many women do not start ovulating regularly until six months after stopping the shot. For a few women, it may take up to two years for ovulation and periods to resume on a regular basis. If you are worried about pregnancy, take a pregnancy test approximately five weeks after the unprotected sex. Use first morning urine for the best results. If it is negative, repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result.
