I have been on birth control for over 2 years now and take it around the same time daily. I recently had unprotected sex two weeks ago while I was on the placebo pills, but he pulled out and came around my vagina but not inside. Is there a risk of pregnancy?

As long as you’ve been taking your pills as directed (around the same time every day), you are protected. You remain protected as long as you are using your method correctly (regardless of whether it’s your period week or not). During the first three weeks of your method use, hormones build up in your body to provide contraceptive protection through the seven days of your period week. Just don’t forget to start a new pack the very next day after you’ve taken your last placebo pill.

However, there is alway a slight risk of pregnancy even when you are using your method perfectly and regardless of which week of pills you are on.
