I missed 3 birth control pills and started spotting so I took 4 pills. 3 for the days I missed and 1 for the day that was time. My period stopped and I continued taking the pills as normal. This was just a few days ago and I had sex with my boyfriend but he did not withdraw and we did not use protection. What are the chances of pregnancy?

Because of your missed pills, you were not protected when you had sex with your boyfriend and pregnancy is more likely to occur than if you were using your pills correctly. You should have used condoms for the next 14 days after your missed pills. Also, it would have been better to take two pills a day until you were caught up instead of taking all four pills at once. Hopefully, you didn’t get sick. If you are a week or more late for your next period, take a pregnancy test. If it is negative, repeat the test every two weeks until you either have a normal period or a positive test result. In the meantime, do not miss any more birth control pills. Do not stop taking your pills unless you test positive for pregnancy. Good luck!
