Your period may just be a week later this month. Most women will experience an irregular cycle once in a while. Also, things like stress, illness, and change in sleep pattern will alter your cycle, making it appear earlier, later or not at all.

Wait another week. If your period still have not occurred, repeat the pregnancy test.
