I have been on birth control pills for almost a year now, I take them on time every day, and my periods are very predictable. However, my period started on time a couple days ago and only lasted a few hours. This has never happened before. Am I pregnant?

As long as you have been taking your pills correctly and consistently, it is unlikely that you would become pregnant. One of the benefits of  using birth control pills is that they shorten and lighten your periods.   You may notice that one month your bleeding is light, the next month, it may be heavier. Any bleeding that occurs during your placebo pill week is considered a period.
