You are not using the patch correctly, and YES, you will eventually become pregnant if you continue to use it like that!

The OrthoEvra patch is to be applied once a week for 3 weeks. For example, apply the patch on Sunday. The next Sunday, take off the old patch and apply a new one. Do this weekly for 3 weeks. The fourth week, leave the patch off. This is the week you should have your period.

The patch is designed to deliver continuous hormone therapy through your skin. These hormones regulate your body’s hormones to prevent pregnancy. If you do not have this continuous delivery, you do not have protection. Applying the patch only when you have sex does not do anything. Additionally, you have to wear the patch for at least 7 days before it is effective.

If you still have questions about using the patch, contact your doctor or clinic for more information.
