Female orgasm has no effect on whether or not pregnancy occurs. Research has shown that female orgasm actually helps to pull or “suck” the semen up into the uterus, helping to increase the likelihood of pregnancy. Sperm are very fast swimmers, so, by the time anything leaks out of the vagina, sperm have already started their quest for an egg.

If you are not planning to become pregnant, consider using a more reliable method of birth control. Condoms are readily available and effective when used consistently and correctly. Hormonal methods include the birth control pills, patch, vaginal ring, and DepoProvera injection.
