Your body should begin to have regular periods on its own. It may take 1 to 4 months for your body to adjust to not being on the birth control pills. You will no longer be protected from pregnancy.  Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is the possibility of pregnancy. If you are not planning a pregnancy at this time, consider abstaining from sex or using condoms. You could also discuss other birth control options with your doctor or clinic.
