My boyfriend and I have had sex for about a week. Everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. I am not on the pill, and the only method we used was the pull out method. I took Next Choice the first day we had sex, because we were scared of the failure rate. We contined the pull out method though, days after. We had done it multiple times a day also without him urinating in between intercourse. It has been, like I said, a week now and today I have a bad pain on my right ovary, and I have a dark brown blood discharge. What is wrong, and could I be pregnant?

Yes, you could be pregnant. The Next Choice does not offer protection for multiple sex acts and does not offer protection for any extended period of time. It is not a long term method of birth control. If your next period is more than 1 week late, do a pregnancy test.

If your discomfort continues, becomes worse, or is accompanied by fever, vomiting or diahrrea, go to your local emergency room for evaluation.
