Sex toys are okay to use, as long as they are properly cleaned. Do not share the sex toy until the infection has been adequately treated. Both you and your sex partner(s) require treatment for chlamydia.
Most sex toys are made of silicone, which is very easy to clean. These toys can be cleaned with an antibacterial soap and hot water. Allow them to air dry. If your sex toy is made out of rubber or latex, clean it the same way, but be sure to rinse well and allow to air day. If you are unsure, check the manufacturer’s directions for proper cleaning and storage.
