It is impossible to really know who an STD came from or how long you’ve had it. What’s important is finding the infection and having it treated.

STD screening involves giving a urine sample. The urine is tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea. A blood sample is taken, this is tested for HIV and syphilis. If anything is positive, the clinic will give you medication.
