Many things can affect your cycle. Things like stress, illness, medications, or change in sleep patterns can alter your cycle. These can make your period come earlier, later, or sometimes, not at all. Additionally, since some months are longer or shorter than others, your period may not come on the same date each month. Most women experience some menstrual irregularity at some point in their lives.
We recommend two pregnancy tests. The first, one week after your missed period. If that one is negative, wait another 1-2 weeks. If your period still has not occurred, repeat the pregnancy test. If that one is also negative, then you are most likely not pregnant. In the meantime, do not have unprotected intercourse.
If you miss 2 periods in a row, follow up with your doctor or clinic.
