Since different brands and manufacturers have different colors of pills, it is impossible for me to know what birth control pill you are taking. For any oral birth control , you must take all of your pills correctly and consistently in order to maintain the effectiveness of the birth control.

Some women do not take the inactive (sugar or placebo) pills. It is not necessary to take these, however, taking them does keep you in the habit of taking a pill every day. Taking the inactive pills also serves as a reminder of when to begin a new pill pack.
