I’m been on doxycycline (an antibiotic) for about a week and a half and I just got my period 4 days early while on the pill (Lutera). Should I switch to placebo pills now? or should I keep taking the 4 last active pills and then switch to placebo? I was planning on skipping my period this month by directly skipping the placebo pills and starting a fresh pack, should I still do this?

Continue taking the active pills in your current pill pack. You may still skip the placebo pills and start a new pack of active pills. If you have been ill  and are taking Doxycycline, it would not be abnormal for your period to begin a little earlier than usual. If you do skip your placebos and begin a new pack, you may experience some irregular spotting or bleeding during the first week or two. Your body should return to normal within a month or two.
