my boyfriend and i are trying to have a baby. i took a plan b 4 months ago(and ive takin it one time b4 but it was months before) an we’ve only been trying for the past two months now but i’ve gotten my period both months. is my chances on getting pregnant slim because of the plan b

No, there is no evidence that Plan B use affects one’s fertility. However, most experts recommend that you wait at least three months after any type of hormonal contraceptive use before trying to become pregnant.

Women should use a non-hormonal method of birth control (like the condom) at least three months before attempting pregnancy.  With the exception of Depo-Provera, most of the hormones in these methods are very quickly passed from your system (with Depo, it usually takes about six months but can take as long as two years). This three month time period will allow you to resume regular menstrual cycles so a pregnancy can be dated. This also allows the uterine lining to thicken and provide a better site for the placenta to implant and grow.
