Some antibiotics will decrease the effectiveness of your birth control pills. It is advised that you either abstain or use condoms during the time you’re on the antibiotic and until 7 days after the completion of the medication. You and your partner used a condom during sex, and the condom remained intact. Continue your pills and condoms, and you should be fine.
Remember, that no birth control is perfect. Only abstinence in 100% effective.
