Plan B helps prevent pregnancy by delaying ovulation. When taken within 72 of unprotected intercourse, it is approximately 85% effective at preventing pregnancy.

After taking Plan B, you may experience some irregular spotting or bleeding during this next cycle. Your period may be earlier or later than usual. It may be lighter, heavier or spottier than usual. If your period is more than 1 week late, perform a pregnancy test.
