Whenever you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is possible. Pregnancy is most likely if the sex occurs approximately one week after the end of your period (or two weeks before the beginning of your next period). If you are a week or more late for your period, take a pregnancy test. Repeat the test every two weeks until you have a normal period or a positive test result.
In the meantime, if you do not wish to be pregnant, either abstain from sex or use condoms. Contact your local Family Planning or Planned Parenthood office for more information about all of your contraceptive options. They can help you choose a method that is best for you.
