I assume you are talking about vaginal wetness. Vaginal discharge is made and secreted by glands in the cervix and vagina. Discharge is normal, common, and varies depending on your cycle. It is the vagina’s way of maintaining normal pH balance and to clear the vagina of bacteria. During sexual arousal, discharge provides wetness that helps make sex more comfortable and enjoyable for the woman and her partner.
Normal vaginal discharge/wetness is stimulated by arousal. Sexual activity stimulates wetness, but so can other types of arousal. Crying, whether from saddness or happiness, causes our sympathetic nervous system to be stimulated. This is the same system that gives us the “fight or flight” response. Our heart rate and breathing rates increase, our sweat glands are more active. It is normal that the vagina, along with other organs, respond to this.
